چکیده

Background: Chickpea (Cicer arietinum) is one of the most important food legumes grown worldwide. Its cultivation in India hampered considerably due to regular occurrence root knot nematode and reported reduce chickpea yield by 9-40%. Methods: The present study was conducted evaluate some germplasm for resistance against nematode, Meloidogyne incognita. field experiment also management root-knot infesting with seven treatments including an untreated control. Mainly check efficacy biopesticides. Result: screening result revealed that none found highly resistant however three germplasms exhibited moderately reaction having gall index between 2.1 3.0. All were significantly superior over control reducing population, increasing at termination. However, soil application Pseudomonas fluorescens @ 20 g/m2 + Neem cake 100 be effective population (47.88%) (50.20%) This followed Perpureocillium lilacinum Cake g/m2. reduction increase 37.46% 36.40% respectively.

Screening and identification of cucumber germplasm and rootstock resistance against the root-knot nematode (Meloidogyne incognita).

Root-knot nematodes (Meloidogyne spp) are destructive agricultural pests that reduce the productivity of cultivated vegetables worldwide, especially when vegetables are cropped continuously in greenhouses. Cucumbers (Cucumis sativus L.), in particular, suffer extensive damage due to root-knot nematodes, and only a few wild species are known to be resistant. Grafting of cultivated plants to root...

Reaction of Pigeonpea Cultivars and Germplasm Accessions to the Root-knot Nematode, Meloidogyne javanica.

Meloidogyne javanica is an important nematode pest of pigeonpea. Thirty-four pigeonpea cultivars and 227 germplasm accessions were evaluated for resistance to M. javanica based on number of galls, egg masses, size of galls, and area of root covered with galls. Galls were not formed on 75% of the cultivars, and no egg masses were observed on the roots of four cultivars (UPAS 120, Pant A3, CO 1, ...

Management of root Knot Nematode ( Meloidogyne Incognita ) using Neem ( Azadiractha Indica )

In India, several species of Meloidogyne are reported on a variety of vegetables, cereals, pulses and ornamental plants. Root knot disease caused by M.incognita is a matter of great concern because this species affects several economically important crop plants. Okra is a very important crop by nutrition and health wise. In the present study the application of various parts of neem (seeds, leav...
